2. We don’t use sub-sized products. There are no 80g jars or 65g biscuits in over sized packaging. All our jars are a minimum of 225g apart from one highly concentrated sauce where it is not necessary. We don’t base hamper value on number of products, we base it on the quality. We have grown our business on the basis that so many of our recipients have been so delighted that they have used us themselves when they need to send a gift.

3. We only use the finest quality products, artisan producers or highly identifiable brand leaders with years of experience in manufacturing their products. There are no mass produced tins of peaches or low cost value items.

4. Everything you see on this website is in stock and your order is guaranteed to be dispatched in as little as 30 minutes and at most 23 hours during working days.

Sounds reasonably simple, but it took 9 years for us to reach this stage of a really effective, customer friendly website which allowed you to create your own gift from our selection of delicious and imaginative food items.

We did it in 2005 & 2006 with IrishGourmet, but had to stop due to technological limitations and space demands. It was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain stock levels and keep the products fresh and do all the other things that small businesses have to contend with. So reluctantly we withdrew from that market and concentrated on offering complete hampers & baskets.

Now in 2010 we have a complete list of everything people want in a gift basket or hamper split into 12 easily identifiable categories.

When we started Basketsgalore we always said that we wouldn’t sell anything we wouldn’t like to receive ourselves in a hamper basket. You can see the influence of this philosophy in terms of the products that we offer for inclusion in our baskets.

For certain food types, we select the best regardless of cost. For others we secure volume discounts on long established brand leaders.

Gradually we are getting towards one of our business objectives. This is to assemble gift baskets and hampers at less than the RRPs you expect from the shops.
